Apple is reportedly creating a foldable and thinner version of its iPhone. The skinny version of the device could be released in 2025 and the foldable phone may launch possibly a year or so after that, according to FOX Business, citing a Wall Street Journal report. Thickness of the thin iPhone will reportedly be less than 8 militers highlighted by less-complex cameras.
The thinner iPhone will try to appeal to consumers seeking a phone with a smaller price-tag than the expensive model that Apple manufactures. Apple’s iPhone 16 Pro costs $999, while the starting price for the Pro Max is $1,199.According to Wall Street Journal, the foldable iPhone might provide dimensions that exceed those offered with the iPhone 16 Pro Max’s screen. The iPhone 16 Pro Max’s 6.9-inch screen is the largest among Apple’s phones, FOX Business noted, citing an Apple release.Apple’s latest collections of iPhones, the iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max, were released in late September and are the first devices the company built with its Apple Intelligence features.The tech giant told FOX Business that in October the company generated about $201.18 billion in annual net sales from its iPhone products, including $46.22 billion in the fourth quarter ending Sept. 28. Apple’s net sales of all its products and services for the year came in at $391.04 billion, representing a 2% year-over-year growth.
