Firefighters responded to the home early Sunday morning after multiple callers reported flames coming from its upper portion.Villegas said that during the operation, crews faced deteriorating structural conditions common in vacant buildings, which likely caused a fire lieutenant to fall through a compromised section of flooring.A search of the building confirmed no one was inside.
