“It is just a beautiful way for us to honor the men and women who served in the Vietnam War,” said Laura Heltz, the executive director at the Veterans Outreach Center. “I think we all know as a nation we didn’t do right by many of them when they came home, they didn’t get a welcome home, and so this is our way of saying welcome home.
