Rochester, N.Y. — A man faces several charges in connection to a violent incident Thursday night in the city's Upper Falls neighborhood. Rochester police responded around 5 p.m. to St. Paul Street near Upper Falls Boulevard for a reported menacing.
Investigators determined the suspect, Marcus King, 24, punched his ex-girlfriend in the face and threatened her with a handgun during an argument inside a vehicle, according to police. The fight took place in front of a 2-year-old child. Police said the victim had an order of protection against King, who is prohibited from owning a handgun in New York. Responding officers spotted King walking on St. Paul Street, arrested him and found a loaded Glock handgun in his possession, police said. A .40-caliber Glock handgun that was loaded with 14 rounds and was allegedly found in possession of Marcus King during his arrest on St. Paul Street Thursday, March 26, 2026. King is charged with third-degree assault, second-degree menacing, aggravated criminal contempt, two counts of criminal possession of a weapon and endangering the welfare of a child, according to police.
