Police said the man was in an unlit area when he was struck, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.Investigators reported no indications the driver was impaired or traveling at an excessive speed. A Montgomery County forensic investigator responded and the victim was taken to the Montgomery County Forensic Center, where an autopsy is pending. The victim’s identity has not been released as officials work to notify next of kin.
