The multi-hyphenate rapper is skipping San Antonio during his 'Chromakopia' world tour.
Tyler , the Creator won't be seeing San Antonio for his ' Chromakopia ' world tour. The multi-hyphenate rapper, record producer, director, actor and fashion designer announced show dates for his 2025 run Wednesday, along with accompanying artists Lil Yachty and Paris Texas .
Tyler, the Creator will be performing in three cities in the Lone Star State — Dallas, Houston and Tyler, Texas. His San Antonio snub is the latest in a series of artists skipping over the city, perhaps in favor of more profitable locales. Childish Gambino, otherwise known as Donald Glover, left San Antonio out of his planned trek across Texas when he announced his global 'The New World Tour' in May. Gambino then jilted Texans altogether after canceling tour dates just before his Sept. 10 Austin show, citing health issues. Despite skipping over San Antonio, Tyler, the Creator is still performing in Texas. This year, he headlined the Sunday lineup for both weekends of Austin City Limits, alongside Chappell Roan and Sturgill Simpson. While Tyler, the Creator is now a two-time Grammy Award-winning artist with a global audience, he's got history with the Lone Star State. On March 17, 2014, he was arrested over claims that he incited a riot during his daytime SXSW performance at Austin's Scoot Inn. He was released on bond that same day and flew to Dallas to play a sold-out show. His latest album, 'Chromakopia,' is set for a Monday release.
