DOTHAN, Ala. - A student who stabbed two other students and a female paraprofessional on Tuesday morning at a Walton County school is now being charged with attempted murder. During a press conference on Wednesday, officials with the Walton County Sheriff’s Office, the Walton County School District and the Florida State Attorney’s Office all provided new details of the incident at Walton Middle School .

The student suspect, who remains unidentified at this time, is at this time being charged as a juvenile and is currently being housed at a juvenile detention facility in Crestview with no bond. In a correction from yesterday’s initial report from officials, the female paraprofessional that was stabbed, along with one of the students, were each transported by ambulance to the Fort Walton Beach Medical Center for treatment, while the other student was the only one life-flighted by AirHeart 2 to Pensacola. The paraprofessional has been released from the hospital, while the two student victims remain hospitalized at this time.
