Plus and ESS collaborate to integrate H.E.L.P. Alerts technology into Plus's SuperDrive autonomous driving fleet, enhancing safety protocols for self-driving trucks.
Emergency Safety Solutions (ESS) and Plus , a leading autonomous trucking technology company, have announced a collaboration to enhance safety protocols for self-driving trucks. ESS's H.E.L.P.® Alerts technology will be integrated into Plus 's SuperDrive autonomous driving fleet, which is scheduled to launch in 2027 on Traton brands International, MAN, and Scania. H.E.L.P. Alerts notify oncoming vehicles if a Plus -powered driverless truck becomes disabled.
This collaboration will bolster Plus's safety case, which is currently at 75%, and expedite its progress toward commercial driver-out operations. Stephen Powers, COO and Co-Founder of ESS, stated that by combining H.E.L.P.'s advanced warning communications with Plus's AI-based autonomous driving technology, they are promoting safety for autonomous trucks and improving overall road safety
