BuzzFeed Contributor When it comes to dating and relationships, we all have at least one dealbreaker that comes to mind as we get to know a potential suitor. I recently wrote about my dealbreakers. I won't date a picky eater . I want to travel the world and eat at many different restaurants before I die, and I want to share those experiences with someone, but I can't do that with a picky eater . I'm not going to fly to Japan just to eat McDonald's.
I am sympathetic to picky eaters, and I can be friends with them; of course, I just can't date one. Being flakey. I'm not talking about texting back late, or not picking up the phone every time you call. In a healthy relationship, you should be OK with people being busy during the day. There's a larger problem if you are the only one making an effort to reach out. If you make plans with someone and they don't show up and aren't calling you on the phone because an act of God stopped them from getting there on time, then I wouldn't bother with that person anymore. If they flake on you just one time early on, don't bother with them. Maybe check back in a year or two, but from my experience, people do not get better. If they do not have respect for you or your time now, they probably never will. Long hair. Surfer boy long is manageable, and I can work with that. But longer than that? No, sorry, I can't do it. If you ask me to use the scrunchie or hair tie around my wrist to tie up your hair, then your hair is just too long for me. It's so random but I don't think I would date a real estate agent. You have to be a massive hustler to be successful in that world, and my real estate agent friends are always really flakey. They have to be. You make plans, important or not, and they all get canceled for a last-minute showing or listing. When they aren't at showings, it feels like a constant stream of calls and emails. I wouldn't want someone tied up 24/7. I am in construction so I respect the hustle, it's just not for me. He never tied his shoe
