The dispute arose when 'SA Given to Fly LP.' filed a lawsuit alleging reckless firearm discharge and a failure to mitigate potential harm. Acton Academy, located adjacent to the club, also intervened in the lawsuit, citing concerns for the safety of its students and teachers. A temporary restraining order has been issued, halting all shooting activities until a trial scheduled for July 7th.

'SA Given to Fly' also claims the club's leadership was aware of the possible danger, but did not take the steps to "reduce possible harm". The claim the school's students and teachers have the right to 'quiet use and enjoyment of the property'. According to the filing, that loosely translates to "not getting shot".
