FOX10 Live takes a trip back to class to visit Hutchens Elementary School ahead of the start of the new school year.

) - FOX10’s Shelby Myers and Lee Peck get a first look at what’s new at the school.

Hutchens created a dedicated place for a sensory room. This is a safe space where typical and special education students can go to and regroup if they are overstimulated.The school’s Principal, Brittney Owen says they are excited and thankful the room has come to fruition. The special education teacher said they are still working out the timing on when students can go to the sensory room, because learning at school is their main priority. The room is a place for students to calm down and get back to their learning.
