Becky Copson has bravely opened up on her battle with post-natal depression and a further wave of poor mental health following the crash.
A Scots mum told how a horrific crash with her baby in the car triggered a wave of intense depression.
But Becky said the mental trauma of the collision clung onto her and left her fearing to travel the route again. "I hid in my own shell and thought everybody else could deal with that. I refuse to go on that road anymore. My heart starts racing and I get a dry mouth and start panicking when driving along that way. It has been traumatic."
After Noah was born, she was diagnosed with postnatal depression. Becky would often tell herself that she was a "terrible" mother and lashed out at her loved-ones due to the condition. It took over two months for Becky to manage her postnatal depression, with help from medication and the support of her nearest and dearest. She could not have done it without her family being by her side every step of the way, she admits.
