Savannah Guthrie shares her emotional experience following her mother Nancy Guthrie's disappearance two months ago, detailing the 'chaos and disbelief' and her brother's immediate fear of kidnapping. The FBI is investigating, with a potential link between a glove found near the home and surveillance footage. The family and the FBI are offering rewards for information.
– In her first interview since Nancy Guthrie disappeared two months ago, Savannah Guthrie recalled the “chaos and disbelief” of learning her mother had gone missing from her home. She said her brother, a former fighter pilot in the military who also worked in intelligence, immediately feared the worse.
He believed their mother was kidnapped from the start of the investigation. “It’s too much to bear to think that I brought this to her bedside,” Savannah Guthrie said, fighting back tears. She went on to apologize directly to her siblings and her mother. “I’m so sorry, Mommy,” she said. “If it’s me, I’m just so sorry.” The FBI believes a glove recovered near Nancy Guthrie's home is the same captured in surveillance video on her front porch, the FBI said on Sunday.Nancy Guthrie was reported missing on Feb. 1. Based on security footage, authorities believe Nancy Guthrie was kidnapped or otherwise taken against her will. Savannah Guthrie noted her mother was living with tremendous pain that limited her mobility. She also said the back doors of her mother’s home in Arizona were found propped open when family members got there. Guthrie’s family last weekend appealed to neighbors in Arizona to search their memories for anything they might have seen that could help the investigation. “No detail is too small,” they said. Little information about the investigation has been publicly released by authorities in recent weeks. The Pima County Sheriff’s Department and the FBI said Wednesday that investigators continue to examine leads. The Guthrie family is offering a $1 million reward for her return. The FBI is also offering a $100,000 reward and encouraging anyone with information to call 1-800-CALL-FBI.Iran rejects US ceasefire plan, issues its own demands as strikes land across the Mideast1 in 41.2 million: 8th grader is all alone with a perfect women’s NCAA bracketAlaska volunteer dedicates 600 hours a year to food bank after husband’s death
