A federal judged ordered on Tuesday that construction on President Donald Trump's $400 million White House ballroom installation be halted.

Leon, who delivered the decision in a 35-page memorandum opinion. Leon wrote that the president likely did not have authority to act on his project to replace entire sections of the White House, including the already demolished East Wing, where Trump planned to put the new ballroom. He also stated concerns that had been mentioned for months in court including that from the start of the project, the Trump administration has provided shifting details of who was in charge of the project and under what authority private donations would be allowed to fund it. “Unless and until Congress blesses this project through statutory authorization, construction has to stop!” Leon wrote. “But here is the good news.
