In this week’s Broadview Heights Police Blotter, police were dispatched to I-77 northbound about a possible road rage incident.

The caller said the driver of a white Chevy van with a Harley Davidson sticker on the rear window was running him off the road and wouldn’t let him pass by holding a pipe outside the driver’s side window.

An arriving officer located the van traveling the speed limit, following too close to caller’s vehicle and changing lanes without using signal.The man was pulled over and handcuffed. The driver was arrested and held for transport.A police K9 did alert to something illegal in the Chevy. During a search of the van, police found crack, glass pipes and pills.

The man’s girlfriend, a passenger in the van, was charged with drug abuse and possession of drug paraphernalia. The driver was cited for following too close, not using turn signal, driving with a suspended license, drug abuse and possession of drug paraphernalia.On Oct. 19, police observed a speeding Dodge Dart traveling 46 mph in a 35-mph zone of Broadview Road.The officer talked to the driver, who smelled like alcohol and admitted to having had a little bit of booze to drink.
