Cleveland Heights police are investigating for grand theft a female employee of a local heating and cooling company.
Cleveland Heights police put a stop to a Noble Road party because it didn't have a required liquor permit.At 1:30 p.m. Oct. 10, police were dispatched to Cleveland Heights High School, 13263 Cedar Road, on a report that a loaded gun was found in a male student’s book bag.The incident began after a class let out. A female student was on her phone with her mother and told a male teacher that her mother wanted to speak with him.
The teacher and principal saw the student on the second floor and brought him to the principal’s office. The boy consented to the principal looking in his bag, and the gun was found.Police charged the boy with carrying a concealed weapon, a fourth-degree felony, and having a weapon on school premises, a fifth-degree felony.At 3:05 p.m. Oct. 11, officers were dispatched to the business Verne & Ellsworth Heating and Cooling, 2026 Lee Road, on a report of employee theft.
Because the company was consolidating, the woman was shortly after let go from her job. Her manager, at that time, asked her about the Christmas party money, and then contacted the party center.
