Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie will skip the royal Easter service at Windsor amid fallout from Prince Andrew's arrest and ongoing scandal

Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie will not be celebrating Easter with the royal family this year amid ongoing drama with their father, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor. Multiple outlets reported that Beatrice, 37, and Eugenie, 36, will not attend the traditional Easter Sunday service at Windsor Castle on Sunday, April 5.

It was announced earlier on Monday, March 30, that King Charles III and Queen Camilla will attend the Easter Matins Service at St. George’s Chapel in honor of the holiday. The couple will be joined by additional members of the royal family. For the traditional service last year, Charles, 77, and Camilla, 78, were joined by the monarch’s siblings: Princess Anne, Andrew, 66, and Prince Edward. Andrew’s daughters attended the festivities alongside their respective husbands, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi and Jack Brooksbank. Beatrice and Eugenie’s mother, Sarah Ferguson, also joined the group. Prince William, Princess Kate Middleton and their children ultimately skipped the event. This year, the royal family is under scrutiny as more details emerge about Andrew’s connection to Jeffrey Epstein. The former Duke of York was stripped of his royal titles in October 2025. He was arrested in February for alleged misconduct in public office. Andrew was subsequently released from police custody, but he has not publicly addressed his arrest. Charles, meanwhile, spoke out in a statement last month. “I have learned with the deepest concern the news about Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and suspicion of misconduct in public office,” the king said. “What now follows is the full, fair and proper process by which this issue is investigated in the appropriate manner and by the appropriate authorities. In this, as I have said before, they have our full and wholehearted support and cooperation.” Following Andrew’s arrest, a source exclusively told Us Weekly that Beatrice and Eugenie were taking a step back from public outings amid their father’s scandal. “Eugenie and Beatrice have had to change their upcoming public-facing plans and future plans this year,” the insider said. “They aren’t as worried about Andrew being arrested and going to jail, but they are still horrified that he’s involved in this and worry there could be more to come.” While neither Beatrice nor Eugenie have addressed Andrew’s scandal, the source noted that the sisters have been through a lot.
