Princess Beatrice is officially married. The wedding — which was supposed to take place in May 2020 — was postponed due to the Coronavirus pandemic. Princess Beatrice married Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi in July 2020 at The Royal Chapel. This isn’t the first time a royal wedding didn’t go as planned.
Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie have been staying out of the spotlight since their father, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s arrest, and now, it seems Beatrice may want a more permanent separation from her royal family.
As readers know, Andrew was stripped of his royal titles and honors by brother King Charles III in October due to his ties to late convicted sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein. And this February, Andrew was arrested after new information about his relationship to the disgraced financier emerged in the Epstein files.Beatrice is “mortified” by the entire scandal and “desperate to hold things together” as public scrutiny of her family continues, a source told the Daily Mail, per a report published Saturday. Therefore, she is considering a move to the United States. While husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi runs his property business, Banda Property, from London, the couple is still contemplating leaving the United Kingdom, knowing well that “the Andrew and Sarah problem isn’t going to go away.” “Her sister Eugenie has lived abroad for many years now and that set the precedent,” the insider noted, adding that a move to the U.S. “would have been unthinkable a few years ago, but now times are very different.”Eugenie and husband Jack Brooksbank have been dividing their time between London and Portugal since 2022. There are also Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan, who moved out of the U.K. in 2020 and now live in Montecito, California.“Moving abroad, most likely to the United States, would be a fresh start for Beatrice and Edo and it would also mean they could give their marriage a kick start and get it back on track,” the insider said, speaking of the alleged marital issues Beatrice and Edo have been facing amid Andrew’s scandal.
