Pittsford, N.Y. — Police are investigating a shooting incident Wednesday morning at Wegmans on Monroe Avenue.Investigators determined a man was in the parking lot waiting for his grocery delivery when another vehicle pulled up and fired one shot but didn't hit anyone. No injuries were reported. "I don’t know for sure if immediately left the parking lot or if it went to a adjacent parking lot, but it did drive away from the victim after immediately firing the round," said Captain Kevin Schoepfel from the Monroe County Sheriff's Office.Police have identified a vehicle in connection with the incident.
"We are going through cameras from businesses in the area, cameras from the roadways, trying to see if we can pinpoint the actual route that the suspect took but we don’t have that information at the time," Schoepfel said."We want to additional processing on that vehicle," Schoepfel said. "That was the victim's vehicle, so we are taking it to our facility so we can keep it out of the weather and go over it with a fine-tooth comb.
