Patrick Dai, a Pittsford Mendon High School graduate accused of threatening Jewish students at Cornell University via online posts, has pleaded guilty.

Dai, a Cornell student who was arrested last October, was in Onondaga County Court Wednesday, pleading guilty to transmitting interstate threatening communications. Prosecutors said Dai posted a series of disturbing messages to an online forum, threatening to brutally assault and kill any Jewish people he sees on Cornell's campus and saying he was going to shoot up a Kosher dining hall at the college.
Wednesday, public defender Lisa Peebles, who's representing Dai in the case, shared that Dai was recently diagnosed with autism. One defense expert claimed Dai cognitively operates at the social level of a 5- to 10-year-old.
