One teenager died while six other juveniles were injured in a single-vehicle crash Saturday night in Bremerton , the Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office confirmed.

The occupants were four 17-year-olds, two 18-year-olds, and a 16-year-old. The driver of the SUV eventually spilled off the road and struck a fence and trees. “One 17-year-old male passenger was killed, and four other occupants sustained substantial injuries,” the Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office stated. That love and humanity mean more to our family than words can express.”The Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office is actively investigating the incident as vehicular homicide and vehicular assault. According to the sheriff’s office, initial findings have led deputies to believe alcohol and drugs were used as contributing factors to the crash, in addition to reckless driving. Toxicology results are pending, as of this reporting. “If there were other vehicles that would’ve been involved, it would’ve been even worse,” Ivan Winkler, a neighbor who heard the commotion, toldWinkler revealed the area of the crash is a dangerous intersection, stating that something needs to change. “It’s a blind hill,” Winkler said. There are several houses on either side. It is 25 miles per hour, and we can hear the people who are going a lot faster than that.” Investigators are seeking witnesses, information, or video of the vehicle in the area before the crash.
