The Tacoma Police Department is investigating a fatal shooting that occurred early Sunday morning on E. 91st Street, about two blocks east of Pacific Avenue. Someone first reported the shooting to police at approximately 12:30 a.

m. Sunday near E. Sherwood Street and E. 91st Street in the Larchmont area of Tacoma. Officers arrived minutes later and found two females injured from a shooting. The officers who first arrived immediately began life-saving first aid. Tacoma Fire Department medics arrived soon after and took over medical care. One of the victims did not survive and was pronounced dead at the scene. Medics transported the other female victim to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. So far, police have not identified any suspects or taken anyone into custody. Tacoma Police Public Information Officer Shelbie Boyd toldAuthorities are investigating the incident as a homicide, with detectives and crime scene technicians examining what led to the shooting and identifying any suspects.
