Two dogs were seized due to possible animal neglect in Ellensburg, the Kittitas County Sheriff’s Office confirmed. On March 25, deputies were called to conduct an animal welfare check after people reported that multiple dogs were being neglected within a home.
When deputies arrived, they found the dogs confined without access to water, raising serious concerns about the animals’ condition. “The deputies spoke with the owner, reviewed available information regarding the dogs’ care and medical history, and consulted with local veterinary providers,” the Kittitas County Sheriff’s Office stated. “Based on those observations and consultations, deputies obtained a search warrant.” The following day, both dogs were seized by the sheriff’s office and transported to a local veterinary clinic for evaluation and care. Veterinary staff determined the dogs were malnourished and in need of medical treatment. “We’re grateful to report that both animals are now safe and receiving ongoing care,” the Kittitas County Sheriff’s Office wrote.Armed and dangerous man wanted in Oak Harbor after domestic violence assault The Oak Harbor Police Department is searching for an"armed and dangerous" man who is currently wanted on multiple violent felony and misdemeanor charges. The Tacoma Police Department is investigating a fatal shooting that killed one woman and injured another on E. 91st Street.Trump issues new threat to Iran’s civilian infrastructure if a ceasefire isn’t reached ‘shortly’ Trump threatened widespread destruction of Iran’s energy resources and other vital infrastructure if a deal to end the war with Tehran is not reached “shortly.”All eastbound lanes of SR 16 on the Tacoma Narrows Bridge were blocked for two hours early Monday morning due to multiple crashes."No Kings" protests in Portland Saturday were followed by incidents of property destruction and the city's police department declaring an"unlawful assembly".WSECU Community Champion: Chrystal Ortega’s mission to feed Spokane Chrystal Ortega's tireless dedication recently earned her the WSECU Community Champions Award and a $1,000 grant to further the mission. When Shawn Tibbitts opened Tibbitts FernHill, he was just trying to survive.
