Newburgh Heights police were swatted by two juveniles Friday, according to a press release from the department.
NEWBURGH HEIGHTS, Ohio - The caller stated a victim was shot in the chest and was bleeding, but there were conflicting stories, one stating a woman was shot in a drive-by shooting, then a separate one where a man shot his wife and she was on the floor bleeding.
The phone was pinged to 4060 East. 44th Street where officers responded and set up a perimeter around the residence. Officers made many attempts to make contact with the people in the house including returning calls to the originating telephone number.The Cuyahoga County Sheriff’s Office SWAT Team was called to assist as it appeared to be a standoff with the occupants.The remaining parties eventually exited the home.They were taken to the police station for questioning.
