Garfield Heights police give update in 1964 unsolved murder of 16-year-old girl

“The brutality of Beverly’s murder still weighs heavy on our hearts and we will never give up on seeking justice.'

CLEVELAND, Ohio - Nearly 60 years after a 16-year-old girl was strangled and stabbed to death in her bedroom in Garfield Heights , police say the unsolved murder remains a top priority and “is still aggressively being investigated.”

Garfield Heights police said there have been some recent new developments in the case following advanced DNA testing on key pieces of evidence.
