Rain and storm chances hanging around
As storm clouds pass by, beams of sunlight reflect off standing water at the Village Creek Drying Beds on July 1, 2017, in Arlington, Texas. The closed waste water treatment facility has since been overtaken by foliage and wildlife, and is a popular bird spotting location. The unsettled weather pattern continues with more rain and storm chances in the forecast. However, it’s highly unlikely we’ll see a repeat of the severe storms that brought the damaging winds Tuesday.
Today’s chance of storms will generally be around midday. Storms are unlikely to be severe, but a couple could produce some hail and gusty winds. More of a concern would be from locally heavy downpours that could lead to localized flooding. Much of the afternoon will feature cloud cover with temperatures in the 80s.This weather pattern remains quite complex with additional rain and storm chances in the forecast Thursday and Friday.
