The top two teams in each class at four regionals advance to the state championship tournament.

Class 7A teams earned spots in the state championship tournament after the first day of AHSAA regional softball action on Monday.
Regional tournaments are being played at Gulf Shores Sportsplex , Montgomery’s Lagoon Park , Albertville’s Sand Mountain Park , and Florence’s Coffee O’Neal Park . Each regional is comprised of 52 teams – four teams in Class 7A and eight teams in each of the other six classes – competing for 56 spots in the state championship tournament.
