DAVID MUNDEE Five area high school teams – all private schools in Dothan – advanced to AHSAA State Tournaments following sectional play held early this week.

The Providence Christian girls finished runner-up at the same section meet to qualify for the state meet on the same days and same venue. The Houston Academy teams play at the state meet next Monday and Tuesday at the Mobile Tennis Center. For the Enterprise boys, Garrett Nelson was the runner-up at No. 2 singles and the No. 2 doubles team of Tripp Rascoe and Julian Gunter also finished runner-up. Four other singles players reached the semifinals for the EHS boys — Graham Andress , Gunter , Rascoe and Roger Stockton .
