According to the St. George Police Department, Kenneth Barry was arrested after making a confession regarding the sexual abuse of a child. The department said it coordinated with Child Protective Services during the investigation.
On March 30 at 3:30 p.m., authorities were notified that a 10-year-old girl had disclosed the abuse to a teacher following a school safety presentation. Based on the information gathered, detectives asked Barry to come to the department for an interview. “During that interview, Barry provided a confession regarding the sexual abuse of the child. After consultation with the Washington County Attorney’s Office, Kenneth Barry was arrested,” a St. George police social media post said.Five counts of sodomy of a child“Because the victim is a minor, the St. George Police Department will not release additional details that could identify the child. The case has been turned over to the Washington County Attorney’s Office. Note: An arrest or charge is not an indication of guilt.
