Grand Theft Auto 6 fans have already suffered plenty when it comes to delay announcements, and things have seemed to calm down a bit with November's scheduled launch on the near horizon. However, a new rumor suggests that things could be getting worse for a lot of players.
According to a recent report , it's possible that physical copies of Grand Theft Auto 6 could be delayed beyond November in order to prevent possible leaks. The information comes from Graczdari, a"trusted" insider source involved in physical video game releases in Europe who accurately revealed Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024's PlayStation port and the physical release of Oblivion remastered. GTA 6 Physical Copies Could Face Delay A Trusted Insider Suggests Another GTA 6 Delay Is Coming Rumors of a potential third delay for Grand Theft Auto 6 are still haunting players on a daily basis ahead of November's planned launch, but as each day passes, it becomes less and less likely. While Graczdari's report on physical copies of GTA 6 being delayed is troublesome, it isn't nearly as bad as an overall delay, assuming that the rumors are to be believed at all. While many fans seem to think this rumor isn't reliable or accurate, others argue that the rumors could very well be true given the risk of leaks and Rockstar's strict policies preventing leaked info. Abdul-HakimDz argues that GTA 6 "won’t have physical copies at launch to avoid people stealing copies in warehouse and leaking the games weeks before release," while Careless_Bank_7891 says that Rockstar could postpone physical sales because they "want the launch to be as powerful as possible." Ultimately, a delay for physical sales for Grand Theft Auto 6 would be incredibly odd and completely unprecedented, despite the aforementioned rumor regarding physical copy delays.
