Hulu struck gold last year with Dan Fogelman's hit sci-fi drama Paradise. The series was an immediate breakout hit thanks to a positive critical reception and streaming performance. The show just wrapped up its second season on Sunday, March 29, a season that was even more ambitious and critically lauded than its predecessor.

Paradise has avoided the sophomore slump that many shows fall prey to, as evidenced by its higher score of 91% on the review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes, compared with 86% for Season 1. And on streaming, the Sterling K. Brown-led series is still winning, especially after that season finale. Streaming data from FlixPatrol shows that Paradise is the most popular show on Hulu, its primary streaming platform, at the time of writing. The series leads the streamer's chart, which also includes streaming heavy hitters like Love Story, High Potential, and 9-1-1. Paradise is also available to stream on Hulu's sister site, Disney+, where most international viewers catch up on new episodes. And while it hasn't replicated Hulu's success on Disney+, the series is not far behind, ranking second, with Love Story leading the chart. Paradise Season 2 has been lauded for successfully venturing beyond its primary setting: the bunker. Collider's Meredith Loftus praised the show for leveling up while retaining its main allure. She explained in her Paradise Season 2 review: "Fogelman and Brown ambitiously bring Paradise to the next level with Season 2, and, by and large, they succeed. Even with a heavier emphasis on life after the apocalypse, the show's political thriller themes remain as timely as ever, and the stakes are elevated with twists that connect the season's characters in surprising ways. Previously, Brown discussed a three-season plan for the series, and if things go according to plan, then Paradise Season 2 is a worthy middle chapter that stands strong while setting up an explosive Season 3." Yes, Paradise will return for Season 3, allowing Fogelman and Brown to realize their three-season vision. Fogelman recently revealed that writing for the third and final season has concluded, meaning viewers will finally get to see whether the theories floating around are true. Production for the third season has not begun yet, but given how diligent the team is about the show's release timeline, it should start soon, likely targeting an early 2027 release date. And if you're wondering whether the show will be able to land this ship in Season 3 by providing all the answers, executive producer John Hoberg told Collider that fans should not fret. He explained to Carly Lane:"I will say one of the things that the professor said to Billy at the bar, or somewhere around where Billy killed him, is,"Do you believe that things happen for a reason, or is it just coincidence?" I think that's a good question for people to be asking themselves. There are coincidences throughout this. Is there a purpose to it, or is there not?" He continued, saying: "As far as answering anything about that, I think all I really want to say, because again, I'm terrified to talk about this show, is that, like we've done the first two seasons, Season 3 will answer all your questions. One of the things we talked about early on is we want to answer questions and not frustrate people. That continues on through Season 3. You will get answers to these questions, I'm just not going to take the chance of trying to give any." Catch up with all episodes of Paradise on Hulu in the US and Disney+ everywhere else.
