Veolia Water says crews are currently conducting emergency repairs on a water main break in Lower Paxton Township. The break is reportedly in the area ofLocust

The break was first reported in the area of Locust Lane, Garden Circle, and Beverly Drive around 1pm.Veolia Water says those living in the area may experience minor discoloration and fluctuations in pressure as a result.

Veolia issued the following statement after the repair: Water main breaks can occur due to several factors including aging infrastructure, temperature fluctuations that cause pipes to expand and contract, ground movement, corrosion, high water pressure variations, and external forces like construction work or heavy traffic. Many water mains in our service areas were installed decades ago and, like all infrastructure, reach the end of their service life. We actively monitor our network and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize disruptions. When breaks do occur, our teams respond quickly to repair them and restore service while ensuring public safety. We continue to invest in infrastructure upgrades to improve system reliability.
