Three people who died in a fire at an apartment complex last week were identified Tuesday.According to a report from the Franklin County Coroner's Office,Souri

According to a report from the Franklin County Coroner's Office, Souria Bekka , Nour-ddine Bouchkara and Margaret Baker died following the fire at the building in the 200 block of Broad Meadows Boulevard in north Columbus on March 20.

Columbus Fire Battalion Chief Jeffrey Geitter said on the day of the fire there were 39 units in the building, and that the fire appeared to have started on the first floor. Some people were climbing out of windows when firefighters arrived. Crews used ladders to help people escape the blaze. Columbus police also assisted. Some residents told WSYX that the complex is home to many elderly tenants."The people across the hall were yelling, 'run put your head down and run.' by the time I started to run you couldn't see anything," he recalled. "I wasn't going to make it to the steps. I was able to find my apartment; it was still unlocked. I knew that. I pushed it open and shut it because I knew the smoke wouldn't be in there. I made it to my window.
