The Canadian Game Awards have revealed the nominees for their 6th annual show, highlighting the best in Canadian game development across every level of the industry throughout 2025. This year’s lineup reflects a strong mix of major releases and standout indie titles, with studios from across the country earning recognition.
Ubisoft's Assassin’s Creed Shadows leads with nine nominations, followed by Compulsion Games' South of Midnight with eight. Eternal Strands, Hell Is Us, Lost Records: Bloom & Rage, Battlefield 6 each earned 4-5 noms each as well. Alongside the nominees listed below, the awards also introduced a new Fan Choice category in partnership with the Entertainment Software Association of Canada, giving players a direct say in this year’s winners. The show will also honor Victor Lucas of Electric Playground fame with the Game Changer Award, recognizing his long-standing impact on Canadian gaming and his role in spotlighting the industry.
