Athletics pitcher Kelly Logue was sent back to Las Vegas after giving his team five strong innings in a win over the Houston Astros.
“I was called into Fran’s office,” Garcia said through a translator. “He was going over some batting videos with me and later on he told me I was going to the big leagues and I was very emotional.”
When Garcia gets in a game, he’ll be the 11th player this season to make his major league debut. He is the 22nd rookie on the roster this season and the will be the 49th differenet player to appear in a game.
