Apple's AI Features Fall Flat With Users
APPLE INTELLIGENCEAI FEATURESUSER FEEDBACK

A recent survey reveals that Apple's new AI features are not resonating with iPhone users. Overwhelmingly negative responses point to a lack of value and practical applications.

A poll of over 1,000 iPhone owners with models built with AI hardware — the iPhone 16 series, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 15 Pro Max — revealed that only 41.6 percent had even tried the new Apple Intelligence features. Of those who did, a staggering 73 percent reported finding the AI tools either 'not very valuable' or adding 'little to no value' to their smartphone experience. Only 11.1 percent of those who tried the features considered them 'very valuable.

' This negative sentiment was even more pronounced among Samsung Galaxy AI users, with 87 percent expressing disappointment and only 5.9 percent finding the features worthwhile. The survey was conducted just before the launch of iOS 18.2, which introduced notable features like Image Playground, Genmoji, and ChatGPT integration. However, these additions haven't been well-received. Image Playground, for example, has an incredibly low 2.7-star rating. Genmoji, a tool that generates custom emojis from text prompts, has been criticized for producing emojis that lack resemblance to the user's descriptions. While ChatGPT integration might be the most useful feature, it relies on the popularity of another company's product. If successful, it would simply be Apple leveraging another software ecosystem
