Southcentral Alaska’s highest chances of heavy rain on Friday go to the Kenai Peninsula to Prince William Sound. Warmer temperatures were seen in Southcentral as well as Interior Alaska on Wednesday. In fact, Anchorage reached 70 degrees for its official high. This is the sixth day the city has reached a 70-degree temperature or more for the city this year. The average number of 70-degree days in Anchorage is 16, but last year we saw only 10. In 2022, there were 26 days that we hit 70 or more.
