The wet and cool weather comes in time to help firefighting efforts in the coming days. However, a red flag fire weather warning does still impact the NE portion of the state through midnight. Winds out of the southwest are the concern as gusts are expected to get up to 35 miles per hour.For Wednesday and Thursday, the forecast calls for a rain to continue to impact the state. It is not until Thursday evening that areas of southcentral will begin seeing the rain, first showing up first over the northern Susitna Valley and slowly advancing toward Anchorage. In Seward, most of the runners in the Mount Marathon should get up and down the mountain before the rain starts falling. Hot spot went Huslia, hitting 81 degrees. The cold spot was Barter Island with a temperature of 32 degrees.
