Federal sentencing next for 2 convicted in 2025 Montgomery armed crime spree

Rayshon Frances Demonta Hall, 24, of Montgomery, was convicted by a jury for the crime spree, which targeted multiple Montgomery businesses over a 4-day period. A sentencing date has not yet been set, but Hall faces between 21 years to life in federal prison without the possibility of parole.

“Armed robberies place innocent employees and customers in danger and create fear throughout the community,” said Davidson. “This verdict demonstrates that those who choose to terrorize businesses with violence and firearms will be held accountable in federal court.

”Two men arrested in a 2025 Montgomery armed crime spree are awaiting federal prison sentences: Najari Mitchell and Rayshon Hall Court records and evidence presented at trial showed that Hall and a co-defendant, Najari Denarka Mitchell, 21, carried out a series of armed robberies that targeted three businesses over multiple days starting on Aug. 1. The spree started when the suspects robbed a fast-food restaurant on Troy Highway, during which time they threated an employee with a gun.

The next day, authorities say the pair committed a similar robbery at an auto parts store on Fairview Avenue. The last stop on the spree happened on Aug. 4 when investigators say Hall and Mitchell robbed a gas station on Troy Highway. The Department of Justice says Mitchell previously pleaded guilty to his role in three robberies and one attempted robbery involving Hall.

Additionally, the DOJ says Mitchell pleaded guilty to four other armed robberies he committed in Montgomery before partnering with Hall, along with two charges for brandishing a gun during and in relation to a federal crime of violence.the same Troy Highway gas station on June 20, 2025a gas station on Virginia Loop Road on July 28, 2025 Mitchell’s sentencing hearing is scheduled for Aug. 26, 2026. Under his plea agreement, he faces 25 years in prison.

“FBI Mobile is focused on protecting our neighborhoods from violent crime and the fear it creates,” said Jones. “We will continue working with our law enforcement partners to identify, investigate, and hold accountable those who threaten public safety. ”
