Jamie De La Cerda Islas hosted a party where Nikki Rowe High School football player Adan De La Cruz fell from a roof, causing fatal injuries.
A McAllen father and son were arrested after a high football player suffered a deadly fall during a pool party, according to a report by The Monitor . Jamie De La Cerda Islas , 51, was arrested Saturday and charged with purchasing and furnishing alcohol to a minor. His son was taken to a juvenile detention center, shortly after the incident. Islas was jailed on $30,000 bail and was released the following day after posting bond.
Shooting at Southwest Side intersection tied to ongoing dispute, San Antonio police say De La Cruz hit his head, was unconscious, and was “turning purple,” according the report. When officers arrived, an unidentified juvenile girl directed them toward De La Cruz, who was lying on his back unconscious and bleeding from a laceration on the back of his head, the report states. Officers also noticed the music was still playing, tables with red plastic cups, and open Michelob Ultra cans.
