The FDA recently upgraded a recall on several Cal Yee Farm snacks to Class I, the most dangerous classification.
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has given the most dangerous classification to certain snack foods distributed in Texas and other states, increasing the level of severity from the original recall in December. The Dec. 12 recall warned of numerous products including chocolate-covered fruits and nuts and snack mixes produced by California -based Cal Yee Farm LLC.
' The products were sold in two retail stores in California and through online and phone orders to Texas, California, Arizona, Virginia, New Mexico, Tennessee, Oregon, Ohio and Pennsylvania, according to the FDA. The two retail stores include the firm's own storefront and customer, Boa Vista Orchards.
