Paratroopers from the 11th Airborne Division's Spartan Brigade summited Gold Star Peak on Wednesday, honoring fallen service members and displaying dog tags of those lost in the process.
ANCHORAGE, Alaska - Hundreds of paratroopers from the 11th Airborne Division’s Spartan Brigade summitted Gold Star Peak on Wednesday to honor fallen service members.
The peak, located near Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, was dedicated in 2018 to honor Gold Star Families and remember fallen heroes.
