ANCHORAGE, Alaska - Anchorage police say an investigation into a young girl found dead Monday is now being considered a homicide in a Campbell Park residence. Police say officers responded to the 4500 block of Folker Street at around 8:01 a.
m. on Aug. 4 after reports of an unresponsive child in the home. A girl was found dead at the scene, according to police. The cause of death will be determined by the State Medical Examiner’s Office. Several witnesses were taken to police headquarters for questioning. No arrests have been made, and police said the circumstances surrounding the death remain under investigation. Patrol cars were parked on East 46th Avenue and Folker Street — near the corner of Tudor Road and Lake Otis Parkway — and a crime lab vehicle was set up nearby.
