A mother is in the Harris County Jail, and her girlfriend is wanted after being accused of abusing a two-year-old and a three-year-old, and then trying to conceal it from law enforcement, records show.

Court records say on Sept. 9, 2025, an ambulance was called out to a Sunnyside apartment complex, where an EMT found a child who "...was dying in front of them.
" The three-year-old girl was rushed to the hospital, where records say it was discovered she had a brain bleed, broken bones, and belt buckle marks on her body. As a result, part of the child's skull was removed, and she was placed on a ventilator. Records say the hospital suspected abuse and called the Harris County Sheriff's Office, who spoke with the child's mother, 30-year-old Jamesha Wilson, and her girlfriend, 30-year-old Kevonnisha Jones.
Court documents say Wilson left her 2 and 3-year-olds with Jones while she went to work that day, and Jones would go on to claim the 3-year-old hurt herself by falling off a bed. However, it was later discovered that the two women were texting and calling each other to coordinate what they would tell law enforcement during the investigation.
Through the investigation, the two-year-old was also found to have broken bones and bruising in different stages of healing, and documents say the children were removed from Jones and Wilson and placed with a family. HCSO said gathering medical and phone records took some time, but that on Wednesday, Wilson was arrested and charged with two felonies for injury to a child.
Wilson appeared before a magistrate for the first time with her head hanging, where it was revealed that the abuse alleged by Jones was no secret to Wilson.
"According to a third party, it is alleged that you said the co-defendant abuses the complainants. I noted that Complainant One was on life support with a brain bleed and had a portion of her skull removed," a magistrate said. A charge of injury to a child was pressed against Jones on Thursday afternoon, and online records show a warrant has been issued.
