Two construction workers were killed in a crash involving a tractor-trailer on the Route 30 Bypass in Chester County, according to Pennsylvania State Police. The crash happened around 6:50 p.m. Monday near mile marker 270.3 in Valley Township, near Coatesville.
According to state police, the driver of the tractor-trailer caused the crash, which ultimately involved four vehicles. Police say a worker zone had been established. Along with the two workers killed, police say two other people involved in the crash suffered non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to a nearby hospital. Action News has learned the two people killed worked for Allan Myers.
We reached out to the company, which released a statement saying, "Our focus remains on supporting those impacted. Please join us in prayer for their families, friends, and colleagues.
" They confirmed that the two other employees who were injured have already been released from the hospital. There was no immediate word on whether the tractor-trailer driver would be charged.
