LeBron James' favorite burger joint will operate two locations at the Cavaliers home court, offering its famous Galley Boy burger starting at Sunday's home opener.
"Swensons has always been about creating legendary experiences — from a Galley Boy served car-side to going 'All In!' on the Cavs at Rocket Arena," said Dan Mesches, CEO of Swensons Drive-Ins, in a press release.
"We’re stoked to join forces with the Cavaliers to bring our phenomenal flavors to fans and be part of moments that matter both on and off the court. Go Cavs!”CLEVELAND, Ohio -- LeBron James’ favorite burger joint is coming to Rocket Arena. Swensons Drive-Ins will operate two concession stands at the Cleveland Cavaliers’ home court — one on the main level and another on the upper level. “By welcoming Swensons to Rocket Arena, we’re adding a celebrated local favorite to our lineup and deepening our commitment to expanding our culinary offerings to create an elevated fan experience,” said Allison Howard, executive vice president and chief commercial officer for the Cavs, in a statement. “Swensons is one of Northeast Ohio’s most beloved food brands, and we know just how much the community, our fans and our team love their food. This partnership is a testament to our shared dedication to community and local legacy — both on and off the court.” The team describes the deal as a “multiyear partnership.” It kicks off Sunday, when the Cavaliers host the Milwaukee Bucks in their home opener. Founded in Akron in 1934, Swensons will serve its signature Galley Boy burger — a double cheeseburger topped with two secret sauces and an olive — along with Potato Teezers, fries and more. James, along with Cavs forward and fellow Akron native Larry Nance Jr., has long been a fan of the chain’s famous burger. The Swensons x Cavs collab comes with an in-game promotion: whenever the opposing team misses two consecutive free throws, fans will receive an offer for free Potato Teezers at any Swensons location the following day. Now that Swensons is setting up shop in Rocket Arena, perhaps LeBron can convince the Lakers to send him home.If you purchase a product or register for an account through a link on our site, we may receive compensation.
