A humid airmass and Gulf moisture will keep hit-or-miss showers and thunderstorms possible across the Wiregrass region through the weekend, with rain chances gradually decreasing next week as drier air builds in.

(WTVY) - The Wiregrass region will experience continued hit-or-miss showers and thunderstorms through the weekend as very humid air remains in place. Deep moisture streaming in from the Gulf of Mexico will keep both nights and days warm and muggy until a shift in the wind flow brings drier conditions next week.

Tonight will be mostly cloudy with a stray shower possible and lows near 71°F. Light south-southeast winds will maintain the warm, muggy feel. Tomorrow features partly sunny skies with scattered showers and thunderstorms possible-a 60% chance. Highs should reach near 86°F with light southwest to northwest winds around 5 mph. Hit-or-miss showers and storms are expected mainly during the afternoon.

Tomorrow night turns partly to mostly cloudy with a stray shower possible. Lows will hold near 71°F with light west-southwest winds. Friday will be mostly cloudy with scattered showers and thunderstorms-again a 60% chance. Highs near 86°F and lows near 71°F. Warm and muggy conditions persist with hit-or-miss rain.

Saturday brings partly sunny skies and isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms-a 40% chance. Highs climb to 87°F with lows near 70°F. The warmth and humidity continue. Sunday stays partly sunny with isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms-a 40% chance. Highs near 86°F and lows near 71°F. Still warm and muggy with hit-or-miss storms.

Monday will be partly sunny with isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms-a 40% chance. Highs reach 87°F and lows near 69°F. The humid pattern holds through the weekend and into early next week. Tuesday becomes partly cloudy with only a slight 20% chance of rain. Highs reach 87°F and lows near 69°F. Rain chances weaken as the flow shifts.

Wednesday turns partly cloudy with a slight 10% rain chance. Highs reach 87°F and lows near 68°F. Drier conditions finally move in as the Gulf moisture supply is interrupted.
