A woman found the stray cat hiding under a car on Forest Hill Drive on May 17, according to police. The cat had been shot and could not move.
The injuries were too severe, and the cat was euthanized. Daniel Yuzva lives on Forest Hill Drive and has a cat of his own. He said he is not worried about his cat getting shot because it stays inside. He said he sees strays often, cats that cut through yards up and down the block.
“We see them. We have a cat of our own and he marks inside the house when the other cats are around,” Yuzva said. Yuzva suggested a capture and release program instead. Detectives said they have no suspect and are asking for the public’s help by calling 440-933-2211.
Police said they have seen posts on social media about other cats that have been shot in the area since May 17, but no one has officially reported anything.
