NVIDIA, Aurora, and Continental announced a strategic partnership to mass-manufacture driverless trucks by 2027. The partnership will leverage NVIDIA DRIVE™ technology to integrate Aurora's SAE Level 4 autonomous driving system, Aurora Driver, with NVIDIA’s accelerated computing platform, DriveOS.

At its CES 2025 keynote, NVIDIA—alongside Aurora and Continental—unveiled a long-term strategic partnership to scale driverless trucks. Powered by NVIDIA DRIVE ™, Aurora ’s SAE level 4 autonomous-driving system, known as the Aurora Driver, will be integrated with NVIDIA’s accelerated compute running DriveOS. Continental plans to mass-manufacture these driverless trucks beginning in 2027.

Several other well-known mobility brands—including BYD, JLR, Li Auto, Lucid, Mercedes-Benz, NIO, Nuro, Rivian, Volvo Cars, Waabi, Wayve, Xiaomi, ZEEKR, and Zoox—are similarly charting out their advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) and autonomous vehicle roadmaps using NVIDIA DRIVE. To cover end-to-end autonomous vehicle development, NVIDIA provides three key computing systems as well as AI software:for AI model and software stack trainingThis underscores the industry’s transition toward software-defined vehicles and continuous over-the-air updates. By integrating NVIDIA’s comprehensive platform—from DGX for AI model training to DRIVE for in-vehicle computing—manufacturers worldwide can accelerate the development of safe, efficient, and advanced autonomous solutions
