Teachers from the Wiregrass gathered in the Civic Center to talk all things education.
Over 2,300 educators and administrators gathered in the Dothan Civic Center to discuss all things education ahead of the 2024-25 school year.DOTHAN, Ala. - Teachers from all over the area came together to get excited about the upcoming school year.
School is almost in session which means teachers are getting ready to welcome kids into their classrooms. The Wiregrass Institute had over 2,300 educators gather in the Dothan Civic Center to talk all things education.This is an important and fun event for educators before a new school year. “It is so fun. All of us teachers are like one big family. We can all relate to each other with the things that we go through with getting ready to go back to school,” said Hannah Kirkland, an educator at Rehobeth High School.
Alabama Governor Kay Ivey was also there to speak about the current milestones the state’s education has reached.
